How to play Black Queen
4-10 players. The lowest cards (2s, diamonds and clubs first) are set aside so the deck divides evenly.
Points in a deck: 5s (5 pts), 10s (10 pts), Aces (15 pts), and the Queen of Spades (30 pts) — 150 points. Everything else is worth 0. With 8 or more players the table uses several decks (8-9 players: two, 10 players: three), so the points, and the highest bid, are 300 (or 450), and every card exists twice (or three times).
Bidding: going clockwise from the dealer's left, each player raises the bid or passes. A pass is final for that hand. Highest bid wins — no minimum bid required.
The bid winner picks a trump suit, then names 1 card (4-5 players) or 2 cards (6-7 players). Whoever holds a named card is secretly their partner for the hand. With several decks the bid winner names ONE card and everyone holding a copy of it is a partner (hold both copies yourself and you are on your own).
Nobody announces their team — you find out a partner's identity the moment they actually play the named card.
Follow suit if you can. Highest trump played wins the trick; if no trump was played, highest card of the suit led wins. When two identical cards tie, the one played first wins. Winner leads next.
At hand's end, add up the points captured by the bid winner + revealed partner(s). If it meets or beats the bid, their side wins the hand — otherwise the rest of the table does.
Nothing carries over between hands — every hand is dealt, bid, played and scored fresh, then the dealer passes clockwise.
Bots have a bidding style: 🔥 bold bots push the bid further, 🛡️ careful ones stop sooner, the rest bid steadily. They all play their cards the same way.
You have 60 seconds per move. If time runs out, the server plays for you, and if you stay away a bot takes over your seat until you come back. Tap a player's name to throw an emoji at them.

Seats belong to the device they joined from. If a friend lost theirs, make a one-time link for their seat and send it to them; opening it moves the seat to their new device. It works once, for 15 minutes.
